From the Divan of Hafez · 7 couplets
...
Come back and be the companion of my narrow heart's soul —
and be the confidant of hidden secrets of this burnt one.
From that wine they sell in the tavern of love,
give us two or three cups, and let it be Ramadan.
Since you set fire to the cloak, O mystic traveler,
make an effort and be the leader of the world's rends.
The beloved who said: My heart is anxious for you —
tell her: I am arriving now in safety — be watchful.
My heart became blood from longing for that life-giving ruby lip —
O casket of love, remain with that same seal and sign.
So that no dust of grief may settle on her heart,
O torrent of tears, flow in the wake of the letter.
Hafez, who desires the world-revealing cup —
tell him: Be in the sight of the Solomon-like Asaf.
